ABB InSite gathers measurement data from connected meters, current sensors and I/O devices for energy and load monitoring. SCU100 and SCU200 are control-unit families with different architecture and expansion options; they are not standalone replacements for every energy meter.
SCU100, SCU200 & Plug-in Modules
SCU100 supports branch monitoring through current sensors, digital I/O and connected meters. SCU200 provides a modular system with metering and communication expansion modules; SCU200-W is the separately ordered wireless-interface version. INS-E3 and INS-E3-5 have different current-input arrangements. Select the power supply, metering input and communications together rather than ordering modules by appearance alone.
System Configuration & Compatibility Checks
Device capacity depends on controller, firmware, expansion hubs, power budget and the number of bus points consumed by each device. The SCU200 base bus provides 32 points and can be expanded with INS-HUB modules; a digital I/O module consumes more points than a single current sensor. Confirm the complete configuration against ABB’s current manual. Cloud services and third-party integration require separate technical and service checks; no cloud subscription or installation service is included by this reference list.
